Doug was born a poor black child in Alabama…no wait, he’s from middle class parents in Arizona and grew up on the great music of the 60s and 70s.

After hearing the Beatles he immediately grew his hair over his ears, bought some Beatle boots and eventally learned some Beatle songs which are still in his repertoire today.

Doug plays acoustic 12 string and in addition to playing his own originals he is especially fond of singer-songwriters…some of whom are actually still alive such as John Prine, James Taylor and Tom Waits. Doug also plays U2, Green Day, Johnny Cash and even Norah Jones.
